| Depuis le 17 mars 2007, une nouvelle AOC est née : l' AOC PROVENCE Today Provence is the first olive oil producing region of France and accounts for half the national production, namely 2100 tonnes per annum. 464 Communes are situated in this new AOC area, as well as 80 olive oil mills (privately owned or cooperatives) added to the thirty or so independent producers who sell their olive oil directly. |
